Eco Club and Our Commitment to the Climate

At our school, caring for the planet is a core part of who we are. We are proud to take meaningful, practical steps to reduce our environmental impact and inspire our pupils to become confident, responsible stewards of the world around them.

Our thriving Eco Club, regular litter picking, and active gardening club give pupils hands‑on opportunities to learn about sustainability and make a positive difference in their community. Alongside this, we follow a clear and ambitious climate action plan that guides our ongoing improvements (completed with our commitment to 'Let's Go Zero'— including the installation of solar panels to reduce our carbon footprint and move towards cleaner, renewable energy. We are ModeShift Stars accredited and members of Eco- Schools

We are committed to reducing waste across the school. We have already cut our paper use by more than 50% and make use of recycled materials throughout our OPAL play provision. To promote re‑use and keep resources in circulation for longer, we also run a popular book swap and offer second‑hand uniform, making sustainable choices both easy and accessible for families.

Together, we are building a greener, more responsible future—one small step at a time.
