English

We follow the English Toolkit devised by Jonathan Bond. This gives us a comprehensive English curriculum and assessment document which supports us to plan, deliver and assess all strands of English. 

Following the structure of the National Curriculum, the English Kit is divided up into four key areas. It is then subdivided into sixteen strands:

  • Spellings 
    Children will be given spellings which follow the National Curriculum expectations.

 

  • Handwriting Sceme- Letter-join
    We follow the Letter-join handwriting scheme. Your KS1 child will be given a log in so they can access it from home.
