Pupil Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.

To be eligible for Pupil Premium funding, KS2 parents/carers must apply for Free School Meals. In order to be eligible for Free School Meals, parents/carers must be in receipt of one of the following benefits:

  • • Income support
• Income Based Jobseeker’s Allowance
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The guarantee element of State Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income that does not exceed £16,190.

As all children in Reception and KS1 are now eligible for Universal Free School Meals, parents are asked for additional information to ensure the school receives the Pupil Premium Funding.

Please see the reports attached for further information about how much money we receive and how we spend the funding in Thomas Willingale School.
