Forest School

We are delighted to be able to offer Forest School sessions to all our children in KS1. The children participate in fortnightly sessions out in our designated Forest School area.
Forest School is a play based, child led form of learning in an outdoor setting, where the children take part in imaginative, creative and investigative activities designed to inspire a love of the natural world, which is then linked to their curriculum.
Forest School provides holistic growth and opportunity to develop confidence and self esteem, through hands on experiences and appropriate risk taking. Children’s cultural capital is enhanced by taking part in Forest School, as they learn social skills and teamwork, respect and resilience.
The children thoroughly enjoy their sessions, getting to explore their natural surroundings.
