Dear Parents and Carers,
Re: Industrial Action
From my early indication letter and from the media many of you will be aware of the industrial action planned by the National Union of Teachers for Tuesday 5th of July.
I can now confirm that the industrial action will affect a large number of our classes. We have followed Essex advice, spoken to governors and we will be closing the classes the class that are affected.
The following table shows the classes that will be closed or open to children for one day on Tuesday 5th of July.
Nursery AM (Both) |

Nursery PM (Both) |

Reception Elm | CLOSED | Reception Beech | CLOSED |
Year 1 Spruce |

Year 2 Willow |

Year 2 Juniper |

Year 3 Maple |

I appreciate that these classes being closed on Tuesday 5th July may prove difficult for some families; however, I hope that by giving you as much notice as possible it will allow you to make alternative arrangements should these be necessary for your particular family circumstances.
ONLY children in the above named classes should stay away from school. If children from other classes do not attend because of the strike they will be marked as an unauthorised absence.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Yours sincerely,
Miss T Phillips
