  • Years 3 & 4 Persuasive Writing Challenge

    Tue 23 Feb 2016

Kidzania generously offered our school 30 free spaces to visit them in March.

Following this offer, our Years 3 & 4 classes were set a challenge by Ms. Phillips and Mrs. Collins to demonstrate their persuasive writing skills.

The children wrote letters asking for their class to be awarded the trip to Kidzania and the reasons that they thought that they deserved this wonderful opportunity.

The letters received from each class were all fantastic and made the decision process very difficult for Ms. Phillips and Mrs. Collins!

However, it was decided that the prize should be awarded to Holly Class and they will be going to Kidzania on Wednesday 16th March.

The 3 remaining classes will not miss out as Ms. Phillips and Mrs. Collins are organising a cinema afternoon in the main hall for them on Thursday 17th March.

Well done to all the children for their participation in and enthusiasm for this challenge.

You can view the four children's letters on the Years 3 & 4 class pages.

    Sat 06 Feb 2016

This year’s theme for Safer Internet Day is  ‘Play your part for a better internet.’

It is important that parents and carers are also engaged and informed to ensure their children can get the most out of the internet.

This week's assemblies for our KS1 and KS2 children will address the topic of using the internet safely and teachers will also be conducting a lesson with their classes regarding this topic.

Please look at our useful links section for a parent help guide and information sheets.

  • O2 Young Voices Latest Travel Arrangements

    Fri 05 Feb 2016

Re: O2 Young Voices concert on 8th February

We have just been informed that there is a planned tube strike this weekend which will disrupt our journey on Monday 8th February.

The school will provide a coach to transport the choir to the O2 if the strike goes ahead. We would appreciate it if any parent not watching the performance will be prompt in collecting their child. At the end of the concert (9.15pm approximately) we will bring the children to the meeting point which is the O2 BOX OFFICE which is outside of the main atrium on the right. Please DO NOT take your child as we walk through the foyer and only take them when a staff member has released them to you.

Please be aware that you may not be able to travel to the venue by tube and will need to make alternative arrangements to arrive on time. It will be a long day for the children and staff.

If you are likely to experience problems collecting your child, please call Mrs Hartnell on 020 8502 8942 to make alternative arrangements. We appreciate that this situation is not ideal but the children have worked extremely hard and we ask for your patience and understanding.

If the strike gets called off, we will travel to the venue by tube as planned.
